What should I expect from this cosmetic procedure?

The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes and can be performed right here in our Mt. Arlington, Morristown, and Bridgewater office by one of our trained skin doctors. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia to minimize any discomfort. Before administering the anesthesia we will mark the areas to be treated, before directing a needle under the skin to place the sutures.

Is there any downtime?

Since the procedure does not require any invasive techniques there is very little downtime associated with getting the Silhouette Instalift. You may notice some mild tenderness or redness where the sutures have been placed but that should go away in a few days. Most patients can return to work and their normal routine after a couple of days. We will provide you with aftercare instructions so you know how to care for your skin as it heals.

When will I see results? How long will my results last?

You will notice results immediately; however, as the treatment stimulates the production of collagen you will also notice even more of an improvement in skin’s firmness and elasticity over the next couple of months. The sutures are made from a special polymer that can be reabsorbed by the body over time. This means that results last about 18 to 24 months.
