Lilia Correa, M.D. is a board certified internist and dermatologist, completed her dermatology residency at Rutgers-RWJMS and is currently a fellow in the ACGME-accredited fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology.
After completing medical school, Dr. Correa spent one year as a physician in a remote underserved area of South America. Subsequently, she performed research at Harvard's renowned Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, completed her Internal Medical residency at Cornell New York Downtown Hospital and performed research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer in New York. Dr. Correa has completed her dermatology residency as a Chief Resident at Rutgers University while earning a number of awards and co-authoring publications and presentations.
In addition to general dermatology, Dr. Correa has also experience in confocal microscopy and has performed multiple clinical trials involving laser related treatment, cosmeceuticals and body contouring. Her unique background working abroad and as a former internist, gives her an expanded knowledge on multiple conditions.
Her main interests are skin cancer and its prevention, photorejuvenation, dermatologic surgery, cosmetic dermatology and general dermatology.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Dr. Correa uniquely incorporates her experiences with various cultures, tropical and temperate climates and research to best diagnose and serve her patients.
